PREVENTATIVE LEGAL SERVICES
Legal Consultation Services
|
| The covered member may receive telephone or personal consultations and advice, including phone calls to third parties on their behalf during normal business hours, concerning any legal matter, be it personal and/or business, to the extent the Legal Service Provider deems it necessary to adequately advise the covered member on the legal matter. This covers the initial consultation and advice required to advise the covered member of their legal position, as the Legal Service Provider considers reasonable. If, at the Legal Service Provider’s sole discretion, the legal matter cannot be adequately addressed during the course of a telephone consultation, the Legal Service Provider will provide legal consultation and advice in person for up to one hour. Benefits under this section are limited to one hour per matter of legal consultation and advice concerning the matter. Additional consultation or advice on the same subject matter at a Preferred Member Discount rate. |

| Wills |
| Two simple wills, including enduring powers of attorney, (primary member + spouse or partner) + three hours each year after first membership year for review and make any changes. |
| LAND LAW |
| One purchase and one sale of land or property per year for your own home. |
| Settlement fees on the sale or purchase of land, property to the value of $350,000.00 or less will be at no cost to the member. Settlement fees on the sale or purchase of land, property to a value in excess of $350,000.00 will be charged on that portion which exceeds $350,000.00 only. Any chargeable portion will be charged at the rate of 75% of (25% off) the Settlement Agent's scale of fees for this service. Investment property sale or purchase at a 50% discount off the Settlement Agents Scale of Fees for this service. A waiting period may apply and this plan should be read in conjunction with the contract Terms and Conditions. |
| BANKING & FINANCE |
| The covered member may have interpreted, reviewed and prepared by the Legal Service Provider any personal mortgages, bills of sale, charges or other personal security documents in which the covered member is a contracting party. |
| The covered member, during normal business hours, may receive telephone or personal consultation and correspondence, concerning any legal matter relating to loan recovery, mortgagee sales, foreclosures and enforcement of securities, including bills of sale, charges and other debt securities of which the covered member is contracted as the borrower or provider of security. |
| MOTOR VEHICLE/RECREATION CRAFT LEGAL SERVICES |
| Defence for civil or criminal charges/drivers licence assistance (extraordinary and special) Up to six (6) hours consultation and preparation time and six (6) hours actual court time per matter. |
| FAMILY/DE FACTO LAW |
| The primary member may receive at the sole discretion of the Legal Service Provider, telephone or personal consultation, during normal business hours, concerning any Family Law or de-facto relationship matter. Cover includes review, consultation, letters to third parties and representation on any Family Law or de-facto relationship law matters. |

| EMPLOYMENT & WORKPLACE RELATIONS |
| The covered member may have reviewed by the Legal Service Provider any Workplace Agreements or Contracts of Employment in which the covered member is a contracting party. Inaddition provision is made for assistance with any claim for unfair dismissal, unpaid contractural entitlements, harrassment or dscrimination and workers compensation issues including advice, representation and preparation. |
| MEDICAL/DENTAL/HEALTH PROFESSIONAL NEGLIGENCE |
| The covered member may have reviewed and investigated by the Legal Service Provider any cause of action against a medical/dental/health professional or a hospital for a negligent medical/dental/health procedure where the covered member is an aggrieved party. |

| COURT PROCEEDINGS |
| Membership provisions for the defence or pursuit of a civil or criminal matter. |
| Membership Year 1. 30 total hours - 10 hours of which is for legal services prior to trial. |
| Membership Year 2. 40 total hours - 12 hours of which is for legal services prior to trial. |
| Membership Year 3. 50 total hours - 15 hours of which is for legal services prior to trial. |
| Membership Year 4. 60 total hours - 18 hours of which is for legal services prior to trial. |
| Membership Year 5. 70 total hours - 20 hours of which is for legal services prior to trial. |
| From the sixth membership year onwards your membership will include a maximum of eighty (80) hours aggregate of solicitors time (trial time) plus a maximum of thirty (30) hours aggregate of solicitors time (pre-trial time) for any court proceedings and pre-trial legal services respectively. |
| INCOME TAXATION LEGAL SERVICES |
| Total of 30 hours aggregate of legal services when notified in writing by the ATO of an audit of income tax return or when ordered to appear at the offices of the ATO. Benefit includes consultation, advice, negotiation and representation. |
| LEGAL SHIELD |
| If you or a spouse or partner is detained or arrested by a member of the police service in your state, you have twenty four (24) hour legal emergency telephone access to a PPL duty officer or solicitor for legal advice and representation, if necessary. |
| PREFERRED MEMBER DISCOUNT |
| Other legal services not specifically provided by this plan are provided at a 25% discount off the Legal Service Provider's standard hourly rate for representation or service. This includes matters either pre-existing in nature or currently on foot and being dealt with or requiring legal action as a result of a prior occurrence. |
